This is a space for me to process childhood trauma. Entries are personal, but not private. I make this decision because my experiences were carefully hidden, concealed for fear of shame. As such, I have been my own singular and solitary witness. If a tree falls in a forest and every ear turns away, does it still make a sound? Are you sure it fell at all?
I write because I am real. I write so that I am real. By translating memory into writing, I witness my own humanity. By sharing it, I invite and implore you to do the same.
